Our team is pleased to announce our partnership with a local non-profit organization called, Best Christmas Ever (BCE)! BCE surprises families during the holiday season who have fallen on tough times through no fault of their own. Andrew and his children's world were turned upside down starting the morning of May 8th. While in South Dakota for work, Andrew received a call that the place they lived at was on fire. This has to be awful to hear as he was so many miles away from his fiancé and their 4 children. Bransten, Rosalie, and Evangeline were outside getting ready to head to school when Bransten noticed smoke. He ran back in the house and heard his mom, Katie, yell for him to grab Gabriel, his 3 year old brother. Thanks to Bransten's heroism, Gabriel was removed from the home before he sustained too many burns. Gabriel was airlifted to HCMC in the Twin Cities, where he spent several weeks on a ventilator fighting to recover. When the ventilator was finally removed, he faced an entirely new battle—having to relearn even the most basic things, including how to walk. His strength through such an overwhelming journey has been nothing short of inspiring. He was in the hospital until June 11, 2025. While Katie did everything in her power to protect her babies, she suffered third-degree burns over 75% of her body. She fought with extraordinary strength for 12 long days after the fire, holding on with every bit of courage she had. Despite her incredible determination, she passed away from her injuries on May 20, 2025. Her love and bravery will always be remembered. Since returning home from the hospital, the family has been doing everything they can to rebuild their lives. There are countless things missing, but the deepest void has been learning to live without Katie. The weight of that loss has been truly devastating. While nothing can ever replace her presence, we hope to bring a little light back into their lives by making this Christmas as meaningful and memorable as possible. Our team is looking forward to surprising Andrew's family with the Best Christmas Ever this holiday season! We aim to raise at least $5,000 and collect ten donated gifts per family member! Monetary donations will go towards the family's life-changing gift. This gift can help reduce the burden a family carries during difficult times. The financial gift may be used to purchase a new/used vehicle, pay medical bills, go towards their rent/mortgage, pay credit cards, pay utility bills, travel, etc. BCE does not pay phone bills, cable bills, court-related incidents, or construction projects. Additionally, BCE does not pay cash directly to families. We cannot complete this BCE without the support of our community. Thanks in advance for your help!
