There are times when life is hard...then I am introduced to a story that gives me perspective.
We are blessed to have been asked to captain a local team support a LOCAL Des Moines area family in need through an organization called Best Christmas Ever. You can check it out here. [https://www.bcemovement.org](https://www.bcemovement.org/)
The family lost dad/husband to cancer back in May 2025. They are a local family living right here in Urbandale. We never know people's story. A friend nominated them for BCE and my friend  called me and asked me to be a part of this story. What a gift...
We have connected with the family nominating them and are working hard, through gifts and donations, to make this Christmas special for this family.
Mom loves gardening, sourdough baking, the Chicago Cubs.
Daughter (16) in interested in reading and writing books, coding, video game design, graphic design and art.
Son (14) in interested in Chicago Cubs, baseball, golf, track and legos
Daughter (11) is interested in horses, barrel racing , crafts
Son (7) is interested in board games, legos

Regular, amazing people who need your blessing.  
Local businesses have offered donations for Ninja classes for the youngest (a dream of his) and GameStop and Scheels have some charitable offerings this time of year.
Through hard and easier times, we have been trying to raise our children in a culture of giving. Even when things are tricky, we are blessed. Let's bless this family together!
