Kristina was born with Gorlin Syndrome. This is a genetic disorder and is an inherited condition caused by the absence of a gene that suppresses tumors.  There was a 50% chance of passing this syndrome on to her own child, and because of this 50% chance, Kristina made the hard choice not to have children of her own so they did not have to endure all of the surgeries (over 40) and had a Tubal ligation just months before her wedding. Kristina has always wanted to be a mother more than anything in this world.

When visiting West Palm Beach, FL, we met the most amazing mother and daughter at a neighborhood concert... we were immediately drawn to them and after hearing their story, raised our hands to cover the adoption cost.  God only asks we take the first (and oftentimes, hardest) step, and He will do the rest.  Thank you to those who give financially, time or talents - we appreciate each and every one of you.
